Meet natalie

Intermediate Hair Artist

Hi there! My name’s Natalie. I joined The Red Stiletto team at the end of February 2022!

My earliest memories consist of me dabbling with makeup and playing with hair.  I’ve known since I was little that I wanted this career for myself.  But to be honest, I didn’t go to cosmetology school immediately after graduating high school. I took a year off before finally enrolling.

I’ve always put off trying new things because frankly, new things can be scary! I was worried about entering a new world where I didn’t know anyone. But experiences like that have shaped me into who I am today. I’m the person that would go out of my way to make sure everyone feels included, and that’s exactly how I want you to feel. Seeing a new stylist can be intimidating, but it’s my goal to hold your hand and make the new experience not scary at all!

I never realized how many people struggled with hair growth, until I was in school. I was the girl that donated my hair not once, but twice in just three years, thinking that everyone does this! Realizing that this is a major pain point for so many, I became certified in hand-tied extensions because I want others to achieve their mermaid hair dreams!

It’s always been in my nature to take care of others around me, and that’s continued throughout my life, giving me the title of the “mom friend.” Because of this, educating my guests just comes naturally. I love walking you through how to correctly shampoo (did you know a lot of people are doing it wrong?!) and teaching you different styling techniques. If you have any questions about your hair, I’d love to help you!

Speaking of motherhood, I became a dog mom at the end of 2018 to a sweet girl named Poppy. A few weeks after having her, I realized she was deaf! I love talking about her, but a lot of times people wonder if being a pet parent is harder when the pet is deaf. It’s not… I might even say it’s easier. I hope to start adopting old dogs soon and plan to give them the most loving home so they can feel loved at the end of their lives.

I enjoy spending time outside and breathing in the fresh air to help me relax. I love when warmer weather rolls around so I can start enjoying walks and sitting in my backyard with my dogs. One of my favorite things to do in the summer is playing softball. I love the exercise I get from playing because it doesn’t actually feel like exercise. I also really enjoy working out in the gym and lifting weights!

Join me in my chair so we can make your hair dreams come true and chat about some fun stuff in the process. I can’t wait to see you!
